The last of a series of seminars in the SPOT 08 programme is now settled: "How to get a foot inside" – Friday 18:30 – Lille Sal. At this seminar it will be discussed how to overcome the obstacles of making yourself a carreer in the American or the English music industry.
The two participants of the panel can draw on lots of personal experience:
Henrik Milling is a rap and r&b producer, who has been working in Los Angeles over a long period with among others the rap super stars Ice Cube and Easy E and the r&b names Vanessa Williams, Johnny Gill and Don E. When it comes to the music he has been involved with, he has reached the 10 mio. sold copies.
Today, Henrik Milling is back in Denmark working as a radio host at Danmarks Radio.
Drezz Siegumfeldt (Andreas S. Jensen) has a past in the band Parkering Forbudt and Simcess, and lives in London, where he has had his own bands and since 2000 he has also been playing with the Abba Tribute band Bjorn Again. At the same time he is a producer and a songwriter and has co-worked with Celine Dion- og Sheena Easton producer Chris Neil and Ralph McCarthy, who has written songs for Janet Jackson, Celine Dion, Ace of Base etc.
Finaly, American Scott Robert Cohen has joined the panel ”Monetising Anarchy” along with American Jim Griffin and English Ian Penman - Friday 19:10 in the Foyer of the Concerthall.
This panel will discuss the posibilities of the music in the digital future – seen from both a consumer and a business point of view.
Like Griffin and Penmann Scott Robert Cohen is known to be an expert of the future of the music industry and he has joined several global music showrooms both as a lecturer and a moderator. |
